Kilcormac/Killoughey surge late to book Leinster club SHC semi-final spot

Things were much easier for Raharney in the other quarter-final.

Kilcormac/Killoughey 2-13

Shelmaliers 0-18

A LATE SCORE from Cillian Kiely booked Offaly champions Kilcormac/Killoughey a place in the Leinster club SHC semi-finals after the narrowest of victories over Shelmaliers.

The Wexford champions had led by three in injury time at the end of sixty minutes but a late, late James Gorman goal sent the game to extra-time on a scoreline of 2-9 to 0-15.

Kiely pointed twice late on to send the 2012/13 Leinster champions into this year’s semi-finals.

Their opponents in the final four will be Westmeath champions Raharney after they enjoyed a comfortable eight point win over St Mullins of Carlow in their quarter-final in Cusack Park, Mullingar.

Killian Doyle and John Shaw found the net either side of the break to keep Mullins at arm’s length to win 2-11 to 0-9.
